After his death from cancer in October, the BBC Two started crafting a nearly one-hour documentary examining how Jobs propelled the company from his parents’ garage to global supremacy. While key figures in both Jobs’ personal and professional life didn’t participate, the BBC did get cooperation from folks who knew him as a Merry Prankster-like individual circa the Ken Kesey era. One of those who were happy to talk was Steve Wozniak, the computer wizard who founded Apple with Jobs in 1976, and left full-time employment there in the mid 1980s. In speaking about their connection, Wozniak commented, “Steve and I, we were like a Lennon-McCartney partnership.”

Look at how he changed the world.” Not only did he change the world, but he gave us that spirit again that something was possible that you could look at a piece of plastic or glass and move your finger– that’s outlandish. You could make things bigger or smaller like that. “Oh the places you’ll go” and oh the way you will change forever the music and television industries. So may he rest in peace, Steve Jobs, and the spirit he represents, are my nominee for Person of the Year. If selected, Jobs would be the first person to receive the award posthumously. Steve Jobs was a mentor to Mark Zuckerberg, 2010′s Person of the Year.

Past technology-related awards have gone to American Scientists in 1960, the Apollo 8 Astronauts in 1968, “You” in 2006, representing the individual content creator on the Internet, and “The Computer” in 1982.

The award will be presented in December.

After the launch of Steve Jobs official first biography by Walter Isaacson, it appears that many shocking realities came in front of high profile tech buddies around the Jobs, such as Bill Gates. Steve Jobs had some harsh words against Bill Gates work. While giving interview to Charlie Rose, the youngster billionaire the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg reveals interesting information about his and Jobs relation, and the success of Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg said in the interview that Jobs and he had some long chit chats on Facebook, a while ago, on which Jobs help him in managing the rising trend of the World. The World’s number one Social Network Website “Facebook”, he said Jobs coached him for Facebook, and he is also one of the people behind the success of Mark.

MacRumors has the transcript:

Mark Zuckerberg: Oh, I don’t know. I mean, he — he’s amazing. He was amazing. I mean, he — I had a lot of questions for him on –

Charlie Rose: Like what?

Mark Zuckerberg: How to build a team around you, right, that’s focused on building as high quality and good things as you are. How to keep an organization focused, right, when I think the tendency for larger companies is to try to fray and go into all these different areas. Yeah, I mean a lot just on the aesthetics and kind of mission orientation of companies. I mean, Apple is a company that is so focused on just building products that — for their customers and their users. And — and that’s like — it’s such a deep part of their mission is build these beautiful products for their users. And I think we connected a lot on this level of, okay, Facebook has this mission that’s really more than just trying to build a company, right, that has a market cap or a value. It’s like we’re trying to do this thing in the world. And I don’t know, a lot of it I just think we connected on that level.

While talking about Steve Jobs and his relation, Mark also points out the moves of Google in making the new little “Social Network Website” called “Google+” to kill the Facebook. In separate report, we have also learned that Apple and Facebook also working together to hunt down their mutual enemy “Google”.

A never-before-seen 70-minute interview of Steve Jobs will be shown in theaters soon.

The news comes from Cult of Mac – a blog dedicated to covering all things Apple – in a post in which they discuss LA Times’ report, Steve Jobs unaired interview and when said interview will be seen in theatres.

The interview was conducted by Robert Cringely for his 1996 documentary Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires related to the rise of personal computers between 1970s and 1990s. The interview was about 70 minutes long but only 10 minutes of it made it to the final version of the documentary.

Later, for the sequel titled Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet, Robert Cringely was looking for the unused part of the interview but couldn’t find it… until it was discovered just recently in the form of a VHS tape that had been sitting in the cupboard collecting dust over the past decade.

The VHS tape was sent to Landmark and they decided to show it in their theatres.

From LA Times:

The movie, “Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview,” is from a conversation Jobs conducted with Robert Cringely for the author and producer’s 1996 miniseries “Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires” about the origins of the personal computer industry and the emergence of Silicon Valley as a technology hub.

Although Jobs gave a 70-minute interview to Cringely, only 10 minutes of it were used in the finished product. When Cringely was making the sequel “Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet,” he went looking for the rest of the Jobs interview, but the footage had vanished.

The 70 minute interview will be released in the form of a documentary in Landmark theatres across 19 cities in USA on November 16th.

You can check out a part of the original documentary (and a little bit from the interview) from the video below:

By now you have seen the image below of Steve Jobs inside of the Apple logo that has spread like wild fire since his death. And to honor the great man, an Apple fan has created a mod which gives tribute to Steve Jobs on the backplate of the iPhone 4/4S.

You’ve probably seen other posts on Redmond Pie showing off mods for the iPhone 4, but now we have a new one. What was created here is a backplate for the iPhone 4/4S that looks like it should have come stock on the iPhone 4S and would perfectly fit the iPhone for(Steve) nickname that was given after Steve’s death. You can see in the images below that it looksgreat just perfect! The backplate depicts the above image along with Steve Jobs’ name and the years he spent on this Earth. This is a great tribute to a man who affected us all in a great way. Love or hate Apple or Steve Jobs, you should appreciate this tribute.

Now if we could couple this with the mod to light up the Apple logo, I think this would be onekiller mod. Of course, the mod to light up the Apple logo is a bit steep and its really awesome to see. These are strictly fashion mods and should not effect the quality or usefulness of the device itself. So you shouldn’t lose function but it could be a reason for Apple to void your warranty.

I must say though, if I had an iPhone 4/4S then I would be ordering one of these immediately! So if you are willing to grab one of these and do the light-up Apple logo mod, send us pictures of them combined so that we can see it and share it here on It’s My Phone.

You can pick up your very own here from K.O Gadget for a very awesome price of $23.90 along with complete instructions on how to install the mod on your iPhone 4S and 4. And as you can see this is shipped from China so expect so time if you order one for delivery. I know that I have ordered products from Hong Kong before, and it took almost a month before they finally arrived on the East Coast. Also, you may want to order this ASAP as Apple may pursue a Cease and Desist on the manufacturing and sale of this item. So you may be one of the very few if you get your order in and receive the item.

But due the death of Steve Jobs’ the biography is now set for the release for Monday. The biography of Steve Jobs will include every thing about Steve Jobs including his life at Apple, his resignation letter and why he wore Turtle-Neck T-Shirt. The biography will consist of almost 656 pages.

The most significant revelations to become public ahead of the Book’s launch on Sunday, when an interview with Isaacson airs on the CBS show 60 minutes. CBS has shown a breif preview of 60 Minutes with Isaacson, in which a really shocking and heart throbbing statement came to light. It was the first and last wrong decision made by Steve Jobs’ in his life regarding his health.

The sad revelation is from the book of Steve Jobs is that,” Steve Jobs delayed the first operation of his pancreatic cancer for 9 months, back in 2004, ignoring the keen request of his Friends And Family regarding the operation.”

According Isaacson, speaking to 60 minutes:

“I’ve asked [Jobs why he didn't get an operation then] and he said, ‘I didn’t want my body to be opened…I didn’t want to be violated in that way,’” Isaacson recalls. So he waited nine months, while his wife and others urged him to do it, before getting the operation, reveals Isaacson. Asked by [60 Minutes correspondent Steve] Kroft how such an intelligent man could make such a seemingly stupid decision, Isaacson replies, “I think that he kind of felt that if you ignore something, if you don’t want something to exist, you can have magical thinking…we talked about this a lot,” he tells Kroft. “He wanted to talk about it, how he regretted it….I think he felt he should have been operated on sooner.”

By the time Steve Jobs realized that he should be operated, it was too late for him because the cancer had spread to the surrounding tissues and caused major damage to the body. If Steve would had agreed to operate the cancer, the time it was detected, so it would had been better for him and the cancer could have been cured.

But one wrong decision made Steve Jobs to suffer for life. No doubt he was suffering with the cancer and a very bad health, the best thing was that he never gave up for his work. He fought with the life and death and made his dreams come true. He also worked on the Apple’s next Generation Product till his last day of life.

The segment of 60 Minutes on Isaacson’s book will be aired on 7PM ET, this Sunday.
