Facebook ‘Timeline’ Arrives On iPhone

Timeline is designed to tell a story. But, not just any story – your own story. It documents your life as it happens, creating a “digital scrapbook” along the way.

Getting his hands on the iPhone version of the feature for the first time, Ellis Hamburger of BusinessInsider noted back in November of this year that the version of the app which carried support for this feature was so good, it would “make you want to skip the desktop experience and just use Facebook on your iPhone.”

Over this past weekend, Facebook took Timeline live for both iPhone and iPod touch users, announcing the immediate availability of Facebook 4.1 – and, we have to agree, the feature is extremely well implemented.

Universal, supporting iPhone, iPod touch and iPad from the get-go, the new update to the popular social networking client also brings with it the ability to see your friend lists, subscribers and subscriptions to the content and people you care about the most, and even carries with it a number of performance enhancements.

Mark Zuckerberg Reveals Steve Jobs Coached Him For Facebook

After the launch of Steve Jobs official first biography by Walter Isaacson, it appears that many shocking realities came in front of high profile tech buddies around the Jobs, such as Bill Gates. Steve Jobs had some harsh words against Bill Gates work. While giving interview to Charlie Rose, the youngster billionaire the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg reveals interesting information about his and Jobs relation, and the success of Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg said in the interview that Jobs and he had some long chit chats on Facebook, a while ago, on which Jobs help him in managing the rising trend of the World. The World’s number one Social Network Website “Facebook”, he said Jobs coached him for Facebook, and he is also one of the people behind the success of Mark.

Mark Zuckerberg: Oh, I don’t know. I mean, he — he’s amazing. He was amazing. I mean, he — I had a lot of questions for him on –

Charlie Rose: Like what?

Mark Zuckerberg: How to build a team around you, right, that’s focused on building as high quality and good things as you are. How to keep an organization focused, right, when I think the tendency for larger companies is to try to fray and go into all these different areas. Yeah, I mean a lot just on the aesthetics and kind of mission orientation of companies. I mean, Apple is a company that is so focused on just building products that — for their customers and their users. And — and that’s like — it’s such a deep part of their mission is build these beautiful products for their users. And I think we connected a lot on this level of, okay, Facebook has this mission that’s really more than just trying to build a company, right, that has a market cap or a value. It’s like we’re trying to do this thing in the world. And I don’t know, a lot of it I just think we connected on that level.

While talking about Steve Jobs and his relation, Mark also points out the moves of Google in making the new little “Social Network Website” called “Google+” to kill the Facebook. In separate report, we have also learned that Apple and Facebook also working together to hunt down their mutual enemy “Google”.

Facebook Messenger Now Available Everywhere

Facebook Messenger has quickly become one of my favorite apps for the iPhone. Before Apple released iOS 5 and iMessage to the public, Facebook Messenger was my client of choice to communicate with my friends scattered around the world.

The problem was that most of my friends overseas couldn’t use the application. It seems that this is not an issue anymore, as Facebook has brought support for 12 additional languages, and is releasing the app in many more countries…

So far, we can confirm that Facebook Messenger is available in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Brazil, but it looks like the app is actually available worldwide.
